In 2018 Molly Wells won the Neuron Art Battle Contest put on by the Dalhousie Psychology & Neuroscience department. Starting in 2019, Molly has worked with Dr. Jennifer Stamp and Dr. Leanne Stevens to develop scientific illustrations for use in PSYO1011/PSYO1012, Dalhousie's first-year introductory psychology course. All illustrations created for this purpose have colour palettes designed specially for colourblind students. See more regarding this topic in this blog post about "Art in the Sciences" or "Blending Art and Science." Molly recently created the cover for Dalhousie University's Introduction to Psychology & Neurology textbook. This summer she began working for Designs That Cell, a company that creates custom scientific illustrations for researchers, clinicians, students and communicators, as a junior scientific illustrator.
Uniting her artistic and scientific interests, Molly hopes to continue scientific communications after her undergraduate studies. The following illustrations are copyrighted and available for purchase.
